7 Select "No" if your book does not contain explicit images.
8 Choose the categories that best fit your book.
9 Add keywords based on your research.
10 Click "Save and Continue"
11 Click "Assign me a free KDP ISBN" or click "Use my own ISBN" to use an ISBN you purchased from Bowker.
12 Choose your ink and paper colors.
13 Choose your trim size.
14 Click between matte and glossy cover styles.
15 Upload your PDF interior.
16 Click "Upload a cover you already have"
17 Upload your PDF cover.
18 Click "No" if your book does not include AI-generated content.
19 Click "Launch Previewer"
Review the preview of your book.
21 Ensure everything looks as expected.
22 Click "Approve"
23 Click "Save and Continue"
24 Click here.
25 Set your price.
26 Click "Request proof"
27 Select a marketplace. If you are in the United States, choose Amazon.com.
28 Click "Submit Proof Request"
29 Proof copies of your book will be placed in your Amazon cart. Remember that these copies will be watermarked.

1 Navigate to https://kdp.amazon.com/en_US/bookshelf
2 Click "+ Create Kindle eBook"
Tip: You can use this method to create an ebook connected to an existing print version. You can also link ebooks later.
3 If you are creating a linked ebook, the information will populate from your print version. Review it for correctness and completion.
4 Unless you have a marketing plan in place for pre-orders, select "I am ready to release my book now."
5 Click "Save and Continue"
6 Digital rights management offers additional protection against piracy. Most authors do not enable DRM, as it limits ebook sharing.
7 Click "Upload eBook manuscript" and add your EPUB file.
8 Click "Upload a cover you already have"
9 Click "Upload your cover file" and add your JPG file.
10 Click "Launch Previewer"
11 Click through your ebook to check the design and content.
12 You can change the font size, device, and orientation.
13 Click "Back" when you are ready.
14 Add your ISBN if you have purchased one from Bowker. In the "Publisher" field, add your imprint name from Bowker.
15 Click "Save and Continue"
16 Before enrolling KDP Select, ensure you do not plan to distribute your ebook elsewhere for at least 90 days, including through your own website.
17 Most authors choose the 70% royalty plan.
18 Set your ebook price.
19 Click "Publish" when you are ready to release your ebook.
