When designing a print cover, we need the final page count to correctly calculate the spine width.
On Mac: Using Preview #
1 Open the PDF file provided by your interior designer.
2 The page count will appear below the PDF title. This is the final page count.
3 Do not use the folio page numbers. These do not include front matter.
On PC: Using Microsoft Edge #
1 Open the PDF file provided by your interior designer.
2 The page count will appear below the browser bar. This is the final page count.
Using Adobe Acrobat Reader #
1 Open the PDF file provided by your interior designer.
2 The page count will appear in the right sidebar. This is the final page count.
Tip: Be sure to use the lower page count. The number above it (the current page number) does not include front matter.
