# KDP Select

Before enrolling in [KDP Select](https://kdp.amazon.com/en_US/help/topic/G200798990), ensure it aligns with your goals and distribution plan.

Enrolling in KDP Select allows you to reach a wider audience through Kindle Unlimited, among [other benefits](https://kdp.amazon.com/en_US/help/topic/GEZBMTMYGN9EBTLG).

However, this requires 90 days of exclusivity for your ebook. That means you cannot distribute your ebook anywhere but Amazon KDP for 90 days. For example, you would be prohibited from selling your ebook through your own website.
