Introduction

Author. Editor. Book Mentor.

I have 8+ years experience as an award-winning professional writer, and 7+ years experience working with multiple presses as a developmental editor, copy editor, and proofreader. I have guided authors through projects in multiple genres including: upmarket, commercial, and literary fiction and nonfiction; speculative including fantasy, sci-fi, and paranormal; memoir; self-help; YA; academic nonfiction; short stories; and screenplays.

I have worked with New York Times bestselling authors and first-time writers and have helped numerous aspiring authors to become agented and published. Because I specialize in developmental edits, my edits go beyond grammar and syntax to attend to issues of voice, character development, style, and structure. With me, you can be certain your manuscript will receive an in-depth, deeply considered, and truly immersive edit.

I graduated Summa Cum Laude in English from the University of Minnesota-Twin Cities and have studied storytelling under Charles Baxter (finalist, National Book Award) and Tom Jenks (senior editor, Scribner’s and founder of Narrative Magazine). I am a member of Phi Beta Kappa, and am currently a Lighthouse Writer’s Workshop Book Project Fellow 2023-2025.

I love helping writers to achieve their artistic visions. I offer supportive, inspired, immersive revisions. I cannot wait to see your book in the world!
